Di Niu received the B.Eng. degree in 2005 from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sun Yat-sen (Zhongshan) University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

• Cloud computing and storage systems, with a special focus on the design, optimization and evaluation of large key-value stores and NoSQL databases.
• Big data analytics and data mining related to online social networks.

• Real-time multimedia networking system design, especially with applications to real-time multiparty video conferencing and tele-immersive applications.
• Network coding and its applications to cloud computing and multimedia networking.
