Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited, otherwise called IFFCO, is the world's biggest compost helpful alliance situated in India which is enlisted as a Multistate Cooperative Society. IFFCO has 40,000 part cooperatives. IFFCO has been ranked#37 in top organizations in India in 2011 by Fortune India 500 list.

History

On 3 November 1967 Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) was enrolled as a Multi-unit Co-agent Society. It got regarded recognisation under the arrangements of Multistate Cooperative Societies Act 1984 and 2002 later.

At first, IFFCO authorized a smelling salts – urea complex at Kalol and the NPK/DAP plant at Kandla both in the condition of Gujarat in 1975. Another smelling salts – urea complex was set up at Phulpur in the condition of Uttar Pradesh in 1981. The smelling salts – urea unit at Aonla was appointed in 1988. As of late, IFFCO has obtained a NPK/DAP and Phosphoric corrosive manure unit at Paradeep in Orissa in September 2005. The promoting of IFFCO's items is directed through agreeable social orders and institutional offices in more than 29 states and union domains of India.
