Re: Dept of Education SNA Redundancy
The Department of Education and Skills is a department of the Irish state with responsibility for education and training. The mission of the Department is to facilitate individuals through learning, to achieve their full potential and contribute to Irelands social, cultural and economic development. Redundancy Scheme The redundancy arrangements for Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) were agreed at a national level at the Labour Relations Commission. These arrangements provide for redundancy compensation to be applied to SNAs employed in primary and second level schools in approved posts with more than one years continuous service. The employment of SNAs may be reduced from full-time to part-time or terminated by way of redundancy where the approved allocation to the school is reduced and it is necessary to compulsorily cease / reduce the employment of an SNA. A redundancy situation arises where the post ceases to exist / is reduced and the SNA is not replaced Queries in relation to the SNA Redundancy Scheme: you may Contact on the Following Number : Phone: (090) 648 4142 |
