Re: Department of Marine Science University of Calcutta

Marine Science Department was set up in the year 1983 according to the UGC rules and UNESCO design took after by other conspicuous World Universities.

The department has gained advanced types of gear like GC, AAS, DOC Analyzers, Vivracorer with particle chromatography, Cascade Impactor, Phase differentiating magnifying lens, Marine algal culture hatcheries and so forth.

A few understudies got position in a few places in India, for example, National Institute of Oceanography, Goa; Vizag; CMSRI – Bhabnagar; NIOT-Madras; Anna University and so on and abroad, for example, USA, Czechoslovakia, Japan, German; Australia and so on.,
