The Department of Hindi of University Of Pune is established in Maharashtra along with the traditional post graduate courses in Functional Hindi.

The Department running two separate M. A. Degree courses and post graduate Diploma as Hindi Translation.

The department has complete autonomy as for as academic programs are concerned.

Academic programs-

M. A. (Hindi Sahitya)

Duration : 2 Years.

Eligibility : B.A. with Hindi Literature (as a special subject)

M. A. Prayojanmulak Hindi (Functional Hindi)

Duration : 2 Years.

Eligibility : B.A. with Hindi Literature (as a Special subject)

Admission Procedure :- 90 students are admitted (60 students for Sahitya,30 students for Prayojanmulak Hindi) on the basis of Merit, according to government rules.

Fees:- Tuition Fees :- Rs. 1549/- Per year
Other Fees :- Rs. 497/-

M. Phil

Duration : 2 Year for completing the Degree course, 2 years for the submission of the dissertation.

Eligibility : M.A. with Hindi Literature.

Admission Procedure :- 15 students are admitted through the departmental entrance examination and interview. Admission are given according to the government rules.

Fees:-Tuition Fee :-Rs. 2400/- per year
Other Fee :- Rs.497/-

P. G. Diploma in Hindi Translation

Duration : 1 Year.

Eligibility : Graduate in Any faculty with one general subject Hindi

Admission Procedure :- 40 students are admitted.

Fees:- Total Fees is Rs. 3,600/- Per year.
