Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board was founded in 1977 under the provisions of Delhi Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act 1976 which has ever since been replaced by Delhi Agricultural Produce Marketing (regulation) Act, 1998.

Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board is an apex body of this organizational set up and its main functions are:-

To put into effect Superintendence and control over the marketing committees
• To offer for general improvement in the markets for their respective areas
• To supply facilities for grading and standardization of agricultural produce and
