Yes, you should be very careful while selecting institutes/colleges for higher studies.

There are around 130 deemed universities in India.Out of which 44 are in dangerous positions.The central govt. has decided to cancel the recognition of these universities.

Deemed universities which are recognised by UGC & are in safe zone, they are good for imparting education of high quality & in time.

So recognised deemed Universities are good for education .

In India There are 130 Deemed University, Out of which a Significant Number of them are Private.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956 (hereinafter UGC Act) Provides for Establishment of a Deemed University Status Under Section 3 of the Act,

Deemed University is a Status of Autonomy Granted by the Department of Higher Education of India allowing full autonomy in Courses, Syllabus, Admissions and Fees.
