The DC Public Schools’ Urban Education Leaders Internship Program (UELIP) is an opportunity to experience the unique and exciting work of managing an urban school district. This opportunity is open to both undergraduate, graduate students, and recent graduates.

Their Associates have the opportunity to participate in mission-critical projects for DCPS and to be on the front lines to see the positive changes to close the achievement gap being implemented in urban education.

Application Procedure:-
Fall 2014 Dates
Program Dates: September 23, 2014 – December 5, 2014
Application deadline: September 12, 2014
Application process
1. Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample.
2. All applicants must answer the following essay questions and answer in 500 words or less.
3. Selected candidates will be asked to participate in a 20-30 minute phone interview.
Stipends
Their associates serve as volunteers in the DCPS Central Office. Associates who demonstrate need may apply for an economic hardship stipend in the course of their application. Stipends will be awarded in amounts up to $500 for the fall and spring semesters and up to $2,000 for the summer semester.
