Online application form is not available on the official site of D.A.V. Senior Secondary School as the admission process is completed for the session 2014-15.

Curriculum and Language Scheme

Nursery Class:

English, Number work, Environment Science and General Knowledge are taught by Playway method.

Classes I to V :

English, Hindi / Tamil, Mathematics, Science and Social Science, Co-Curricular activities such as Drawing, Painting and Physical Education are taught.

Classes VI to VIII :

Besides non-language subjects, the students are taught three language schemes as given below:
English (Higher Level)
Tamil / Hindi / Sanskrit (Higher Level)
Tamil / Hindi / Sanskrit (Lower Level)

Note : Students who learn Hindi at Higher level, must learn either Tamil or Sanskrit at the lower level, and those students who learn Tamil or Sanskrit at higher level must learn only Hindi at the lower level.

Additional subjects offered are Fine Arts, Crafts, Music, Moral Education, Yoga and Physical Education.

Classes IX & X :

English, Hindi / Tamil / Sanskrit, Maths & Science, Social Science, Work Experience, Art Education, Physical and Health Education.

Classes XI & XII :

Science Group : English (Core), Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Computer Science, General Studies, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education.

Commerce Group : English (Core), Maths, Marketing, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, General Studies, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education.

Medium of Instruction for all Non-language subjects is English.

Pre- Kindergarten Admission 2015-16

Age Eligibility for admission to Pre.K.G-

Minimum Age is 2 years and 6 months as on 31st May 2015.

Kindly submit the following documents along with the
‘Registration/Admission’ Form:

Latest ‘Stamp Size’ Photograph of the Child, Father and Mother are required to be pasted on the ‘Registration Form’.

Attested copy of the ‘Birth Certificate’ for age proof

Blood Group report of your ward

For ‘Residence Address Proof’ Submit the self-attested copy of any two of the following:

Ration Card / Passport
Voter Id / Aadhar Card
Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill
Certificate of residence issued by VAO
ID card issued by State Govt./ Central Govt./ Public Sector undertakings
If it is rental residence, copy of ‘lease deed’ from the landlord.

For ‘Differently Abled Children’ it is required to submit a certificate from the ‘District Differently Abled Rehabilitation Officer’.

It is required to submit attested copy of ‘Community Certificate’ as given below

Deputy Tahsildar, Revenue Department, Govt.of Tamilnadu.

For SC -
Tahsildar, Revenue Department, Govt.of Tamilnadu/ Competent authority in the case of children coming from other states.
