Goa Common Entrance Test GCET is the state level common entrance test conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa for admission to under graduate professional degree courses like Engineering, Medical, and Architecture. Important Dates- Availability of application starts (Form A) – 19th March, 2016 Receiving of application form & collecting admit cards – 28th March, 2016 Last date of applications & collecting admit cards – 2 April 2016 Last date of applications & collecting admit cards (with late fee of Rs. 1000/-) – 29 April 2016 GCET Exam– 10 and 11th May, 2016 Result date – 16th May, 2016 Submission of application form for admission (Form B) & with necessary enclosures – 19 May, 2016. Last date for receiving forms forAdmission (FORM B/B1) at notified location – 27 May, 2016 Display of Eligibility List at Admission Centre – 7 June, 2016 Last date for compliance with deficiencies in eligibility – 9 June, 2016 Display of Provisional Merit List at Admission Centre – 13 June, 2016 Display of Final Merit List at Admission Centre – 15 June, 2016 First round of admission – 27 June, 2016 Second round of admission – 18 July – 21 July, 2016 Special Round of Admission to fill vacant seats (if any) in MBBS/BDS Courses – 30 September, 2016 Eligibility Criteria Class 12th or equivalent having English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology/Biotechnology as the subjects For MBBS/BDS courses the candidate must have competed the age of 17 years age For Engineering and Architecture courses there is no age limit for admission in these courses. Candidates must belong to Goa state, having valid domicile of Goa. Exam Pattern The exam consist of four papers from Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology, there will be 75 questions from each section, carrying one mark each. Each paper was of 2 hour, there will no negative marking in the examination The question paper was come from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th. |
