West Bengal State Council of Technical Education organizes the JEXPO entrance exam every year for admission in diploma courses offered in the state of West Bengal. Admission in diploma courses in the various polytechnic institutions of the state will be offered on the basis of candidate’s marks scored in the exam. JEXPO 2020 Exam Dates (Postponed) Availability of application form 2nd January 2020 Last date to submit OMR application form 16th March 2020 Last date for filling-up of online application 15th April 2020 Availability of e-Admit Card (online) 16th April 2020 Exam Date 26th April 2020 Declaration of Result/merit list release 15th May 2020 Registration for counselling and choice filling 1st week of June 2020 JEXPO 2020 Eligibility Criteria Age Criteria: There is no upper age limit Nationality: Applying candidate must be a citizen of India. Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed 10th level (Madhyamik) exams or its equivalent from a recognized Board /Council/Institute with at least 35% marks (without an additional subject) at the qualifying examination (without rounding-up) Qualifying Subjects: Applying candidate must have passed 10th level exams with Mathematics, English, and Science/Physical Science subjects. Qualifying Marks: One must have passed his 10th level exams with a minimum of 35% marks. Appearing: One appearing in the 10th level exams is also eligible. Exam Pattern for JEXPO 2020 Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen and Paper Based) Number of Questions: 200 Type of Questions: Objective Type MCQ No. of Papers: 2 (Paper 1 and Paper 2) Duration of Exam: Two hours each for Paper 1 and Paper 2 Scoring Pattern: 1 Mark will be awarded for a current answer Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking. Subject wise Exam Pattern will be as follows: Paper Subject Total Questions Duration Paper – I Mathematics 100 2 Hours Paper – II Physics and Chemistry 100 2 Hours |
