The Banaras Hindu University offer the M. Sc. in Forensic Science in alliance with a Hyderabad based laboratory and two foreign universities.

You are asking for the Date for Banaras Hindu University M. Sc in Forensic Science. The Banaras Hindu University conducts Postgraduate Entrance Tests during 4th week of May and 1st-2nd week of June for admission to various Postgraduate Courses.

Admissions will be made according to merit in the PET subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for and appeared in the Entrance Test.

You are also asking for the syllabus for the BHU M. Sc in Forensic Science entrance exam. Here I am providing you the M. Sc in Forensic Science entrance exam of the BHU. This is as follows:

1. Introduction: Scope & objectives, Analytical chemistry and chemical analysis, Classification of analytical
methods, Method selection, Sample processing, Steps in a quantitative analysis, Quantitative range
(bispartite classification), Data organisation, Analytical validations, Limit of detection and limit of
quantitation, The tools of analytical chemistry and good lab practices.
2. Analytical chemometrics: Propagation of measurement uncertainties (inaccuracy and imprecision). Useful
statistical test: test of significance, the F test, the student ‘t’ test, the chi-test, the correlation coefficient,
confidence limit of the mean, comparison of two standard values, comparison of standard deviation with
average deviation, comparison of mean with true values, significant figures, regression analysis (least
square method for linear and non-linear plots), statistics of sampling and detection limit evaluation.
Chemometrics for optimization, modeling and parameter estimation, factor analysis, resolution and pattern
recognition.
