As a master's student of Dalhousie University, one will have many opportunities to become involved with the investigation and the development of new knowledge. The Faculty's research concentrations include big data analytics & machine learning, systems & networks, and human-computer interaction & visualization.


Admission Requirements

One must have a strong Grade Point Average (GPA) and a four-year undergraduate degree in computer science or a related technical discipline

Non-Canadian applicants whose first language is not English require a TOEFL score of at least 92 (IBT) or IELTS score of 7.0


Application Process

1. Submit online Graduate Studies Application.

2. Complete the form in the Faculty of Computer Science GradApp System

3. Send hard copies (in addition to submitting scanned copies under step 2) of the following:

One official sealed copy of transcript from all institutions previously attended must be mailed to the address below.

Official English Proficiency test score (for international students):

Additional Requirements for International Students

One must have Official TOEFL test scores or International Degree Equivalencies.

The TOEFL score may be waived where one has completed a degree program at an institution where the language of instruction is English and the official transcripts reflect this fact.

One with bachelor degrees in computer science or engineering from Indian universities is encouraged to submit the JEE or GATE scores. One with high scores in these tests will have increased chance for admission and/or financial support.
