Default Cutoff of KPSC Prelims

I am planning to prepare for the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) Prelims and want to know the details of cutoff of this exam. Will you provide me cutoffs of this exam for different categories and also tell me what the pattern of this KPSC Exam?

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the civil services exam for all the candidates who wish to work under different state administrative services of different cadres.

Cut off details of KPSC Prelims for various categories are:


GENERAL/W==168
GENERAL/R==177
GENERAL/KM==188
GENERAL==182
CATEGORY 1/W==150
CATEGORY 1==166
2A/W==148
2A/K==170
2A==164
2B/W==142
2B==158
3A/W==156
3A==172
3B/W==154
3B==172
SC/W==150
SC==162
ST/W==146
ST==170

Exam pattern:

The Karnataka Public Service Commission Civil Service Examination is conducted at the following two levels namely:

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Mains Examination and Personal Interview

1. Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary Examination of the KPSC Civil Services Exam is an objective type paper having multiple choice questions of 100 Marks.

You will be given questions on the following sections:

Paper I: General Studies & Humanities
Paper II: General Studies, General Science & Technology and General Mental Ability

Total Number of Questions: 100 Total Marks Allotted: 200

Distribution of Questions: Paper I:

GS – 40 Questions
Humanities – 60 Questions

Paper II:

GS (General Studies) – 40 Questions
General Science & Technology, Environment and Ecology – 30 Questions
General Mental Ability – 30 Questions

Marking Scheme: You will be given two marks for each question attempted by them whereas there will be no deduction for the wrong answers attempted by them.
