| Re: Cut Off Rank In WBJEE
WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) will not consider class 12 marks for calculating ranks in WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). This simply means that aspirants must perform better in the entrance exam for securing a good rank in the entrance examination. The Board will decide the cut off on the following basis: Number of students who appear for exam Level of difficulty of exam Total number of seats available WBJEE Cutoff Marks Vs Rank WBJEE Marks WBJEE Ranks 199 – 188 Ranks < 10 187 – 175 11 – 50 174 – 163 51 – 1000 162 – 150 1001 – 2500 149 – 138 2501 – 4000 137 – 125 4001 – 6000 124 – 100 6001 – 10000 99 – 75 10001 – 16000 74 – 63 16001 – 25000 62 – 50 25001 – 35000 < 50 >35000 Determination of WBJEE Cut off Score The scores are calculated by adding the total number of correct answers and subtracting the incorrect answers. The calculation of scores varies for every category defined under the WBJEE Exam Pattern. Category 1 Only 1 option is correct. Each question carries 1 mark. ¼ marks will be deducted on marking incorrect responses. Category 2 Only 1 option is correct. Each question carries 2 marks. ½ marks will be deducted on marking incorrect responses. Category 3 1 or more options may be correct. For every correct answer, 2 marks will be rewarded.
