Re: Cut Off For IIT JEE
IITs have specified certain minimum qualifying marks in JEE Advanced for admission to their undergraduate engineering programs. These are referred to as Minimum Qualifying Marks for Ranking (MQMR). The specified cut off for JEE Advanced has been calculated by JEE authorities on a basis of number of factors, such as: Previous Year’s cutoff, JEE Advanced Cutoff Number of applicants for the exam, Number of available seats in IITs and their annual intake, and Difficulty level of the exam. Minimum percentage of marks for inclusion in a rank list: Rank list Min % of marks in each subject Min % of aggregate marks Common rank list 7.0 24.500 OBC-NCL rank list 6.30 22.500 SC rank list 3.50 12.250 ST rank list 3.50 12.250 OPEN-PwD rank list 3.50 12.250 OBC-NCL-PwD rank list 3.50 12.250 SC-PwD rank list 3.50 12.250 ST-PwD rank list 3.50 12.250 Preparatory course rank lists 1.75 6.125 Maximum aggregate marks: 264 (Paper-1) + 240 (Paper-2) = 504 Maximum marks in Physics: 88 (Paper-1) + 80 (Paper-2) = 168 Maximum marks in Chemistry: 88 (Paper-1) + 80 (Paper-2) = 168 Maximum marks in Mathematics: 88 (Paper-1) + 80 (Paper-2) = 168 Specified JEE Advanced Cutoff Score or MQMR JEE Advanced Cutoff for General Category: 10% in each subject and 35% in aggregate JEE Advanced Cutoff for OBC (NCL): 9% in each subject and 31.5% in aggregate JEE Advanced Cutoff for SC: 5% in each subject and 17.5% in aggregate JEE Advanced Cutoff for ST: 5% in each subject and 17.5% in aggregate JEE Advanced Cutoff for PwD candidates in each category: 5% in each subject and 17.5% in aggregate JEE Advanced Cutoff for Preparatory Course (in cases where eligible SC, ST, and PwD candidates are less than 1.4 times the seats reserved for them): 2.5% in each subject and 8.75% in aggregate |
