The Staff Selection Commission announced over 30 Group B and C Category Posts with multiple job vacancies for SSC CGL In Central Board of Excise and Customs, A Tax Assistant can have three types of postings Excise Service Tax Customs The work of a Tax Assistant will comprise mostly of clerical work. The major task assigned to a Tax Assistant in CBEC will be to properly dispatch and prepare reports for the department he/ she gets posted in, which can be Excise, Service Tax and Customs. Tax Assistant CBEC Auditor Salary, Pay Scale and Allowances The salary breakdown of a Tax Assistant working in Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) is as follows. Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- Grade Pay: Rs. 2,400/- Apart from the regular fixed pay, a Tax Assistant in CBEC also enjoys a bunch of perks, benefits and allowances. DA on Total Pay Transport Allowance (TA) House Rent Allowance (if not provided with quarters) Mobile Bill Career path: Your first promotion will take atleast 8-10 years, after which, your G.P. will be Rs. 4200 and you will become a Senior Tax Assistant, or commonly referred to as Executive Assistant. The next promotion can be achieved 3 to 4 years after that, which will be an Excise Inspector, A Group-B Gazetted Post. You career can follow this path in CBEC. Tax Assistant Senior Tax Assistant Excise Inspector/ Examiner Assistant Commissioner Deputy Commissioner Joint Commissioner Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Further Promotions occur after a time period of 4 to 5 years, depending on both your performance and vacancy. |

As per new RR in CBEC, it is worst deptt for a Tax assistant. acc to new RR, promotion of TA to STA/EA is 10 yrs(earlier was 3 yrs) EA/STA 40% prmotional, 60% direct. ( earlier 100% promotional) means in 10 yrs a lot of EA has been come and hold position for promotion ahead of TA. Acc to New RR of inspector CBEC, 90% direct, 10% promotional(earlier was 60-40 ratio). Means A TA never got inspector post if analyze data scientifically. So better TA to leave CBEC and join other any govt deptt. thanks. |
