Admission in B Tech Program offered by College of Engineering, Kidangoor (CEKGR) affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Kerala State.

Conditions for Admission

One is required to possess the following qualifications.

One shall have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class XII) of Board of Higher Secondary Examination. Govt. of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects or any other examinations accepted as equivalent thereto by the Cochin University of Science and Technology.

One shall have secured a minimum of 50% marks for Mathematics and for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

One belonging to socially and educationally backward classes the minimum marks requirements are 45% for mathematics and 45% for mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

For SC/ST students only a pass in the Higher Secondary examination (Class XII) with the above subjects

One shall also satisfy the conditions regarding physical fitness as may be prescribed by the University.

Admission is through Common Admission test conducted by the University for Courses run by schools/colleges under Centre for Engineering Studies.

No Admission is made after 40 working days from the date of commencement of the combined first and second semester as per the academic calendar approved by the university. The percentage of attendance for 1st year is reckoned from the date on which one joins the course.

Eligibility for the Degree

No candidate shall be eligible for the B. Tech degree unless he has undergone the prescribed course of study for a period of 4 academic years in the university and has passed the prescribed examinations in all the semesters.

One shall complete all requirements for degree within a period of 6 academic years from the date of admission to the first year.
