Central Teacher Eligibility Test is taken by Central Board for Secondary Education. In order to be eligible to teach classes I-VIII applicants are required to take up CTET entrance test. Important Dates Online submission of application forms October 11, 2013- October 31, 2013 Last date for Receipt of Confirmation Page at CBSE Office November 7, 2013 'Applications not received' cases (Contact CBSE) December 20, 2013- January 3, 2014 Online corrections in candidate's particulars December 20, 2013- January 3, 2014 Admit card download January 9, 2014 CTET 2014 Examination February 16, 2014 Paper II- 9.30 am- 12 noon Paper I- 2 pm to 4.30 pm Declaration of result March 21, 2014 Dispatch of CTET Marks Statement/ Certificates April 21, 2014 Eligibility Criteria Applicants must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year diploma in Elementary Education For becoming teacher of Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage) Applicants must be a graduate and passed or appearing in 2-year diploma in Elementary Education. Exam Pattern CTET 2014 will be objective type paper having multiple choice questions (MCQs). There will be 2 papers: For those who wish to teach classes I-V have to appear for CTET 2014 Paper I. For those who wish to teach classes VI-VIII have to appear for CTET 2014 Paper I Applicants who intend to teach classes I-VIII have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II). There shall be no negative marking. |
