Masters in Business Administration MBA

The Mihaylo MBA program provides students with a strong foundation in business fundamentals in addition to the practical knowledge to become effective leaders.

Program Requirements

The Mihaylo College of Business and Economics MBA program is designed to support the career goals of their students.

With options to complete your program either full or part-time, the basic curriculum consists of 33-45 semester units (11-15 courses).

Foundational courses (30 units or ten courses)
Emphasizing conceptual, analytical, technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.*

Concentration/elective courses - (12 units or four courses)
Allowing students to concentrate in an MBA focus area

Master's capstone course (3 units or one course)

Supporting student teams completing a major consulting project with an area business

*Students must complete a writing course if they score below 50 percentile on the Verbal or Analytical Writing areas of the GMAT exam within the first year of study.

Waiver Policy

Up to 12 units (four courses) of foundation coursework can be waived depending on the student’s academic background.

Prerequisite Requirements

Students must complete prerequisites in calculus and statistics by their first year of study.

Prerequisite coursework can be completed prior to enrolling. The courses below or equivalent coursework must be completed with grades of at least a "C" (2.0).

Business Calculus
Math 130 or 135 at CSUF (3 units)
OR enroll in the 4 day Business Calculus Boot Camp at CSUF - offered each fall semester.

Fall 2015 dates (9:00am to 1:00pm): August 29, September 5, September 12, and September 19
OR Equivalent course at a community college

Statistical Analysis
ISDS 361A or ISDS 513 at CSUF (3 units)
ISDS 361A may be taken through Open University prior to enrollment

OR Equivalent course at a 4 year institution

Courses are offered Monday through Thursday in the late afternoon (4:00-6:45pm) and in the evening (7:00-9:45pm).
