The Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy CSSEIP is a University Grants Commission (UGC) sponsored centre functioning in University of Mysore (Karnataka) since 2008 to conduct research on the issue of social exclusion, which has hypothetical as well as policy importance. The focus of such research will be social exclusion and inclusion related to Women, Dalits, tribal, and religious minorities etc. Functions of the Centre- Collecting information on Social Exclusion and building up a data base and Carrying out detailed analyses based on the socio-economic data generated by government agencies; Organizing regular conferences, seminars and symposia and special lecture on the theme of Social Exclusion; Establishing links with Civil Society Organizations engaged in combating Social Exclusion and Short-term Orientation courses for political leaders, Parliamentarians, government officials, trade unionists and media personalities Thrust areas of the Centre- Poverty and Regional Disparities in Karnataka State Social Policy and Knowledge Management on Exclusion and Inclusive Study Dalits, Tribals, OBC, Minorities, Rural and NGO Issues. Health, Agriculture, Labour Economics and Management. Positive Discrimination, Social justice, Gender Justice and Law.
