Creative Writing Courses 2 BA (Hons) Creative Writing 2 MA Creative Writing 2 Creative Writing PhD 2 MA Writing for Young People 2 BA (Hons) Creative Writing- Their comprehensive programme includes prose, poetry, scriptwriting for the stage and screen, feature journalism, writing for new media, life writing: in fact, whatever you want to write, youll find an opportunity at Bath Spa University. Course structure Year one Writers Workshop One (general workshop), Poetry, Fiction, Scriptwriting. Year two Specialist core modules (choose one of five) plus a wide range of specialist modules from journalism and new media, writing for young people, traditional page poetry, performance poetry, to genre fiction, short stories, nonfiction and more! Year three Creative Enterprise module, dissertation-equivalent modules in poetry, novel writing, nonfiction, and writing for young people. Independent project module, collaborative film module. 2 MA Creative Writing- This full-time Creative Writing course will help you to bring a novel, book of poems, book of short stories or work of non-fiction as near to publishable quality as possible. Manuscript module: The Manuscript. 2 Creative Writing PhD- The PhD in Creative Writing combines a proposed manuscript (e.g. novel, short story collection, poems, playscript, narrative non-fiction, digital writing) with an element of supporting or contextualising research. The proposed creative manuscript will be volume length (the natural length of a book, depending on genre). The supporting research will be 20,000 words. 2 MA Writing for Young People- This specialist creative writing MA is designed for writers for children, teenagers and young adults who aim to complete a novel, series of picture books or shorter stories for young children.
