CPT Schedule for SSC CGL

Hello, I want to know the details of the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) of SSC CGL. Please provide me.

Hello, here I am providing you the details of the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) schedule as under:

Interview/ CPT/ DEST dates:
27 February, 2016

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
After declaration of Tier 2 Result, SSC conducts Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). CPT is conducted for all those candidates who have opted for CSS (Central Secretariat Services) anywhere in their post preference. CPT includes three modules- Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides

Preparation for CPT
Candidates will open spread sheet & write their name & roll no. on the spreadsheet. Invigilator will provide instruction for CPT. Candidates will have to follow these instructions during CPT.

Data Entry Skill Test (DEST):
After declaration of Tier 2 Result, SSC conducts Data Entry Skill Test (DEST). DEST is conducted for all those candidates who have opted for Tax Assistant Post anywhere in their post preference.

CPT includes 3 modules:

Word Processing -
Candidates are given a printed english passage that has to be typed in the computer. It is not exactly Microsoft Word but their own software. No formatting (bold, italics etc) is needed.

Spreadsheets -
Candidates are required to work on Microsoft Excel software and create a spreadsheet as they provide in a printed sheet. Some things will have to be calculated using formulas of MS Excel like profits, percentages etc.

Generation of slides -
A printed sheet showing a print-out of a single slide will be given. Candidates will have to create a slide similar to the one given in Microsoft Power point.
