CPT Exam date
I am appearing in the CPT December attempt? Please tell me about the CPT Exam date? Also provide me exam time and paper pattern?

The CPT is the entrance test for the applicants who want to appear in the CA program. This exam is conducted by the Council of the Institute Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The CPT exam is held twice a year for admission to ICAI in the integrated professional competence course, Important dates: 14th December, 2014 ( Sunday) First Session ( i.e. Morning Session ) 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM ( IST ) Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting Section - B Mercantile Laws Second Session ( i.e. Afternoon Session ) 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM ( IST ) Section - C General Economics Section - D Quantitative Aptitude Subjects to be studied in CPT are as follows : SESSION – 1 ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks ) Section A : Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks ) Section B : Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks ) SESSION – II ( Two Sections – Two hours - 100 marks ) Section C : General Economics ( 50 marks ) Section D : Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks ) |

CA stands for Chartered Accountant. ICAI - The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is a statutory body concerned with fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards. The ICAI now is the second largest accounting organization in the whole world. Important Dates: Availability of online application form: Tuesday, October 07, 2014. Last date for submission of application form: Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Date of CPT: Sunday, December 14, 2014. CA Entrance Exams A candidate, who wishes to appear for Chartered Accountant Entrance Exam, needs to have cleared the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or is waiting for the 10+2 exam results, can register for the CA programme. The minimum eligibility criteria for joining the CA course is 10+ though you can join it even after graduation. And very importantly, there is no restriction in regard to the age of the candidates. All of you who are awaiting your 10+2 results can also apply for Chartered Accountant Exam. There are no restrictions with regard to the age of the candidate or marks secured in Senior Secondary Examination for appearing in CA Entrance Exam Papers CA Entrance Exams Pattern and Admission Process CPT - Common Proficiency Test is the entrance exam that a candidate needs to undertake as an entrance level route to the Chartered Accountancy stream which every intending candidate is to clear before enrolling for the professional state. CPT examination is being held twice in a year i.e., in June & December. It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This test is of 200 marks. It is divided into two sessions of two hours each. CPT is an objective type test with negative marking. The qualifying mark is 50%. A student has to remember that CPT is an objective type test with a negative marking for selecting wrong option which will be indicated in the question paper. |
