Re: Which course is suitable for me in MBA and MCA after completing B. com?
Firstly I would like to inform you that both the course you have mentioned are extremely worthwhile to pursue. Both the course have good career scope but are as different as Cheese and Chalk. Firstly let’s talk about MCA: MCA is a PG course and this course of a duration of 3 years and it consist of 6 semesters To enrol for MCA you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria which is mentioned below: Education Qualification: You need to have completed a UG degree and must have got at least 55% aggregate and you must have completed +2 with mathematics as subjects. You also need to appear for the entrance exam for joining in MCA and you need to qualify for the entrance exam for which you are applying. MCA is a technical field & if your interest lies in the same then you can definitely pursue the course. Some of the colleges from where you can pursue MCA are listed below: Pune University Jawaharlal Nehru University - New Delhi Hyderabad Central University National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy Birla Institute of Technology(BITS), Ranchi National Institute of Technology (NIT) - Surathkal PSG College of Technology - Coimbatore Bharathiar University -Coimbatore Now as for MBA: MBA stands for Master of Business Administration and this course is a PG course and there are many ways of doing this course either as Part Time or Full Time. Master of Business Administration is the postgraduate professional course for which the demand has gone up in recent years and this has resulted in the rise of many MBA colleges. The course is considered as one of the prestigious courses and the degree obtained from any reputed MBA colleges will add a value to the candidates’ career. The advantages of MBA are manifold; racing it onto the top slot of the most opted for degree program in the world. Some of the main benefits of MBA are: Managerial Skills: Knowledge imparted in MBA course extends out in developing managerial skills for aspirants. These skills offer the essentials for dealing with real-time situations pertaining to management and resolution of problems. One is not only equipped in enacting a managerial role but also facilitated in grasping core responsibilities of your organization. Eligibility for MBA: For joining in this course the candidate need not have a certain age limit as there is no age limit for the exam. Regarding the education qualification for the exam the aspirant must have completed a 3 years duration UG course from a recognized university with at least 50% and for candidates of SC/ST it is restricted to 45%. Since you have done your B.Com, I suggest you opt for MBA, which you can specialize in many disciplines like Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, IT etc. Especially MBA in Finance will definitely lend more value to your B.Com degree. But in the end I would like you to decide your choice as it all depends on your interests & preference as well as your Career goals. |
