Yes of course, you can do Company Secretary Course through correspondence; ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) offers part time Company Secretary Courses. Its value is same as regular company secretary course. You have to qualify following three stages: i)Foundation Course ii)Intermediate Course iii)Final Course Required eligibility : Foundation Programme Duration : eight months duration You have to passed 10+2 or equivalent students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts) Executive Programme You have to pass Graduation from any stream streams except Fine Arts. Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course Important dates : Months of examination The examinations are conducted twice a year in June and December. Last date for receipt of enrolment applications forexamination in the Institute 25th March (with late fee of Rs. 100, 9th April) for June examination: 25th September (with late fee of Rs. 100, 10th October) for December examination. Company Secretary course is an professional course that a candidate can pursue through self studies or through coaching classes . Candidate have to register with the ICSI and do preparation and appear and clear the exam of ICSI to become Company Secretary. Stages to become a Company Secretary: To pursue after 12th: Foundation Programme Executive Programme Professional Programme To pursue after graduation: Executive Programme Professional Programme Cut off dates for admission to CS course:: For Foundation Programme : 31st March for appearing in December Examination in the same year 30th September for June Examination next year For Executive Programme : 28th February for appearing in both modules in December Exams in the same year year 31st May for appearing in single module in December Examination in the same year 31st August for appearing in both modules in June Exam in the next year 30th November for appearing in single module in June Examination in the next year.
