Can you tell me in detail about the Common Entrance Test for admission in Polytechnic Colleges or Institutes in Delhi as I will be taking admission in Polytechnic course?

Delhi Common Entrance Test is conducted by Guru Nanak Dev Co-Ed Polytechnic on behalf of Delhi knowledge Development Foundation, Department of Training and Technical Education for admission in Full Time Diploma programs. Delhi CET Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria is a candidate must be passed in relevant subjects from a recognized board or equivalent. The age must be below 21 years for diploma courses and 24 years for 10+2 vocational Engineering stream and 30 years for women candidates for 12thbased courses. Course wise eligibility: For 10+2 vocational engineering courses: One should have passed analogous 12th in engineering stream from CBSE or equivalent from Delhi region only with at least 60% marks collectively of best 5 subjects without considering grace marks in these subjects. For Pharmacy Courses: One should have passed the 10+2 exams of Central Board of Secondary Education or Equivalent board recognized by the pharmacy Council of India with at least 45% marks (40% for SC / ST candidates) collectively of Physics, Chemistry or Biology / Mathematics. Delhi CET Exam Pattern: There are 5 tests for Delhi CET. It is offline pen-paper based and the questions will be objective type for which the answers are to be marked on the OMR sheet. • There would be 150 total questions except for Pharmacy paper the questions will be 210 but there would be optional questions in it i.e. the candidates have to do only 150 questions • The total marks would be 600 that mean single questions will get you 4 marks • Also there is negative marking and for each wrong 1 mark will be deducted • The time duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes and the medium of test is English or Hindi or Both Delhi CET Reservation Criteria: Categories Reservation Criteria SC 15% ST 7.5% OBC 27% PwD 3% Total reservation 52.5% |
