Coal India Limited (CIL) was established in 1975, it is an Indian state-controlled coal mining company and its headquartered is located in Kolkata, West Bengal and it is the largest coal producer company in the world.

Coal India Limited (CIL) contributes around 81% of the coal production in India. It had produced 452 million tones of coal during FY 2012–13 and earned revenue of INR 882.81 billion from sale of coal in the same financial year…..

In April, it had total coal resources of 64,786 million tons, comprising, pursuant of ISP classifications, Proved Geological Reserves of 52,546 million tons, Indicated Geological Reserves of 10,298 million tons and Inferred Geological Reserves of 1,942 million tons.
