The Information Networking Institute (INI) was established by Carnegie Mellon in 1989. It is affiliated to Carnegie Mellon University. Dena Haritos Tsamitis is the director of the Institute.

Admission requirement–

MSIS-

Minimum Qualifications

GPA of 3.0 or higher

GRE General Test no more than five years old

Undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering, computer science or another related technical field

Undergraduate coursework in data structures and probability theory/random processes

Ability to program fluently in C or C++

TOEFL, no more than two years old, is required with applicants whose native language is not English; the IELTS are also accepted

Application Details

Applicants must complete and submit an application to the Information Networking Institute no later than February 1.

Applications received after February 1 will be considered on a space-available basis.

MSIN-

Minimum Qualifications

GPA of 3.0 or higher

Undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering, computer science or another related technical field

Undergraduate coursework in data structures and probability theory/random processes

Ability to program fluently in C or C++

Pittsburgh-Silicon Valley MSIT Programs-

Minimum Qualifications-

GRE General Test no more than five years old

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, information science, information systems, information technology

Demonstrated analytical ability, including successful completion of undergraduate probability or statistics courses

Ability to program fluently in C or C++

TOEFL, no more than two years old, is required with applicants whose native language is not English; the IELTS is also accepted

Two or more years of relevant work experience is strongly preferred

Kobe MSIT-IS-

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum cumulative QPA of 3.0 or equivalent

Successful completion of introductory-level undergraduate computer science or information technology course

Demonstrated analytical ability, including successful completion of undergraduate probability or statistics courses

English proficiency for non-native speakers
