Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) had invited the direct recruitment to the post of Assistant commandant. What is the selection procedure of the CISF for the post of Assistant commandant? Provide the tentative salary offered.

The recruitment process for various posts in CISF are Assistant Commandant, Sub Inspector, and Constable.

Recruitment of Assistant Commandant

Recruitment to the rank of Assistant Commandant (Junior Time Scale) takes place from four sources, viz.

50% by promotion from the rank of Inspector,

10% by absorption of security officers from PSUs,

10% by re-employment of ex-army officers

30% by direct recruitment through Civil Services Examination

For direct recruitment to the post of Assistant commandant, UPSC will hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE).

Sub Inspector

Recruitment of Sub Inspector in CISF is through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE).

Eligibility

Candidate should have completed four years of service including basic training

Graduation from any recognized University.

Physical Standard-As applicable to SI (Direct entry) candidates

Constable (General Duty)

Constable/ GD recruitment is carried out by SSC (Staff Selection Commission).

The recruitment will comprise of following exams.

Physical Standards Test (PST),

Physical Efficiency Test (PET),

Written Examination

Medical Examination
