All of three (Border Security Force , Central Industrial Police Force : Central Reserve Police Force And Sashastra Seema Bal ) are central police organizations known as Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)

The Major Difference Between them Are As Follow

BSF : Border Security Force : Mandated to guard the Indo-Pak and Indo-Bangladesh Border. All deputed in hostile areas

CISF : Central Industrial Police Force : Mandated to guard the government establishments through out the nation (e.g - Airports, Metro Stations etc).

CRPF : Central Reserve Police Force : Largest and Oldest Central Police Force, deployed though out the nation mainly in left wing extremist areas. COBRA battalion of CRPF is highly respected.


SSB : Sashastra Seema Bal : Mandated to guard Indo-Bhutan and Indo-Nepal Border.


Major Working of Forces Are :

BSF = Meant to dominate and secure border of India along Pakistan and Bangaldesh.

CISF = Meant to defend premier and reputed institutions like ISRO, BARC, Airports, Metros etc.

CRPF = Meant to maintain peace within whole India, during riots, election duties, anti naxal opeartions etc

SSB sashastra seema bal objective is to guard the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan Border ,these also guard Bhutan border from China with help of Bhutan Royal army
