Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CG PET) Exam is conducted for admissions to the engineering courses at the graduate level in the state of Chhattisgarh.

Important Dates:

Start sale Online Applications: March 21, 2014
Last date for Online Applications: April 8, 2014
Admit Card Download: April 23, 2014 onwards
Test Date: May 1, 2014 from 9 am to 12.15 pm
CG PET Result: May 17, 2014

Paper Pattern:
-It will have objective type questions
-Questions will generally cover subjects of the Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
-The duration of the exam is for 180 minutes.
- One has to answer a total of 150 questions
- There will be negative marking

Eligibility

Candidates appearing for the exam must have passed the mandatory 10+2 final qualifying examination from a recognized board or university.

The contender set to appear for /answer the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply.


Candidates must have studied Physics, Math’s and Chemistry/Biology at the higher secondary level.

The candidates must belong to Chhattisgarh or must have studies 10th and 12th from schools or colleges located at Chhattisgarh.

The candidates passed must have passed with at least 50% marks in class 12th (this is reduced to 40% marks in case of reserved category candidates ).

The candidate must be 17 years of age on or before 31 December, the upper limit is set at 30 years of age.’ on or before 1st

Exam pattern

If you are appearing for the CG PET 2016 exam you must understand the pattern of the exam, so that you don’t face any problem when in the examination.

The CG PET exam pattern is based on the objective style, 150 questions have to be answered in a span of 3 hours.

The paper is based on the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. There are negative marks given for incorrect answers.

You must note that the exam pattern of CG PET described above is based on the previous year pattern, and may change as per the guidelines issued by DTE, Chhattisgarh.

The contenders after succeeding the examination have to appear for the counselling process, the colleges are allotted to the students as per their rank in the CG PET examinations.
