CGL in SSC
I am planning to give the SSS Combined Graduate Level (Preliminary) Examination and for that I want details of the CGL SSC exams. Can you please tell me the eligibility criteria for giving the CGL SSC exams? Also provide me the important dates for the CGL SSC exams?

Staff Selection Commission - Combined Graduate Level Examination, often referred to as SSC CGL is an examination conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India. Examination Has Following Phases Tier 1 (Preliminary) - Written Examination (Objective Multiple-Choice Type Tier 2 (Mains) - Written Examination (Objective Multiple-Choice Type) Tier 3 (Descriptive Test) - - Essay / Passage / Application / Letter Writing Tier 4 (DEST/CPT) - Computer Proficiency Test / Data Entry Skill Test / Document Verification. Examination Pattern Tier I Sections No. of Questions Total Marks General Intelligence and Reasoning 25 50 General Awareness 25 50 Quantitative Aptitude 25 50 English Comprehension 25 50 100 200 Tier II No. of Questions Total Marks Time Allotted Quantitative Ability 100 200 English Language and Comprehension 200 200 Statistics 100 200 General Studies (Finance and Economics) 100 200 Tier III Subject Marks Time Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (Writing of Essay, Precis, Letter, Application etc.) 100 marks 1 hour or 60 minutes Tier IV DEST: Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. This test is conducted to check a candidate's writing skills. CPT: This test is conducted to check a candidate's proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides. |
