Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is the force place of the Indian electrical industry. Set up in 1960 by the Government of India, it capacities as a middle for connected exploration in electrical force designing helping the electrical business in item improvement and quality confirmation.

Department of Indian Standards (BIS), New Delhi, has supported a R&D Project to the Power Capacitors Laboratory of DCCD, CPRI, Bangalore for "Improvement of Indian Standard for LV Automatic Power Factor Correction (APFC) boards" at an out lay of Rs. 140 Lakhs. Length of time of the undertaking is two years from March 2011.

Principle goals of the venture are:

Outline, create and increase important research and testing offices for 3φ LV Automatic Power Factor Correction (APFC) boards

Detail test methodology for surveying the execution of 3φ LV APFC boards.

Add to an Indian Standard Specification for 3φ LV APFC boa
