The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Union Government of India. It affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools and most of the schools approved by central government of India.

Guidelines for Schools
1. Schools need to regularly visit the CBSE website to be updated about various policies and schemes including latest updates on School Quality Assessment and Accreditation (SQAA)

2. Schools have a maximum 3 years within which they need to apply to the CBSE for School Quality Assessment & Accreditation.

3. The list of empanelled agencies is available on the CBSE website so, schools should make reference to the CBSE website from time to time.

4. Schools intend to get accredited need to guarantee that they have a website with an 'Accreditation Corner’.
