About the English language Learning Centre

English language Learning Centre was established in 1988 with UGC assistance with the objective of imparting English Language skills .to university students and research scholars so as to enable them to pursue their specialization and research work more effectively through the medium of English.

The Centre offers the following courses:
Special Courses in English (Preliminary and Advanced) for PG and Professional Course students of OU
Proficiency Course (Preliminary and Advanced)
A Certificate Course in English Teaching for Teachers
An Intensive Bridge Course
A Certificate Course in English for Research (CCER)
A Certificate Course in Advanced Spoken English (CCAS)

Distance Mode Courses:
(The duration of the courses is 6 months and they are offered twice a year)
A Certificate Course in Practical English (CCPE)
A Certificate Course in English for Teachers (CCET)
A Certificate Course in English for Employment (CCEE)
