The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, had sorted out an International Conference as a noteworthy occasion of its century year festivities. The division, which was initially called the office

of Electrical Technology, was begun in 1911 as one of the initial two divisions of the Institute.
