How can I open DEMAT account for investment in Central Depository Services (India) Ltd. (CDSL)? What is DEMAT account definition in CDSL investment reference?

A DEMAT account can not be opened directly with CDSL. The DEMAT account has to be opened only though a DP of CDSL. The process of opening a DEMAT account through a DP of CDSL is very simple and easy. It is similar to the opening of a bank account. Investor has to first choose a DP based on his convenience and the DP's charges. The investor should submit a photocopy of the PAN card along with the original as proof of identity and address proof such as passport, ration card, etc to the DP. |
