Here I am giving you syllabus for Centre for Development of Advanced Computing Common Entrance Test below :

Syllabus for Common Entrance Test (CET)

Section I :Computing Fundamentals (25 marks)
Evolutions of computers, Computer generations, Computer organization, Primary and Secondary storage, Input-output devices, Computer software, Operating systems, Data communications and computer networking, Multimedia, Classification of computers, etc.

Section II : Fundamentals of Programming (10 marks)
Algorithms, Flowcharts, Computer languages, System implementation and operation, File organizations and Data processing, etc.

Section III :Programming in C (50 marks)
Introductory concepts, C Fundamentals, Operators and Expressions, Data Input and Output, Control statement, Functions, Arrays, Pointers, Structures and Unions, Arrays, Stacks, Queues and Linked Lists (Single, double, Circular), etc.

Section IV :Object Oriented Programming Concepts (15 marks)
Understanding of the object oriented concepts, such as Classes and Objects, Generalizations, Polymorphism, Abstract Classes and Re-usability, etc.

Section V :General Apptitude (50 marks)
Questions shall be modeled on GMAT pattern

Exam pattern:-
C-CAT Exam will be conducted manually (Pen and paper based) at various cities all across India.
C-CAT will be conducted in the form of three test papers labeled as

SECTION - A (English, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude),

SECTION - B (C Programming, Data Structures, Data Communications and Network, OOPs and Operating Systems) and

SECTION - C (Computer Architecture, Digital Electronics and Microprocessors), each of one hour duration, having 50 questions of 3 marks each (maximum 150 marks).

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing is a scientific society of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India, carrying out Research and Development in IT, Department of Electronics and Information Technology, electronics and associated areas.


Exam pattern:
C-CAT exam has following three sections namely
Section A
Section B
Section C.
Duration will be of one hour duration each.
The medium of C-CAT is English.
3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer
1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
For each un-attempted question, 0 mark will be awarded.
The exam consits of 50 objective-type questions of 3 marks each.

C-DAC are done through C-DAC’s Computerised Common Admission Test (C-CAT) for admissions to all PG Diploma courses. Every year, C-CAT is usually conducted in June and December.

Admissions to all PG Diploma courses of C-DAC are done through C-DAC’s Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT).
C-CAT is usually conducted in June and December.
