Re: CCSU Abroad
CCSU Courses Abroad are intense, short-term, credit-bearing University classes that are taught by faculty and are offered in Winter Session, Summer Session, and embedded in full-semester Spring courses, where the travel component occurs either over Spring Break or in early Summer. Working in close cooperation with a growing number of CCSU academic departments, the Center for International Education (CIE) offers more than forty-five Course Abroad programs annually. Many programs offer courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Semesters Abroad If you are interested in spending a full semester or an entire academic year abroad, CCSU students have many options. There are three types of full semester programs approved by CCSU; CCSU Partnership and Exchange programs, Globalinks Abroad and International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). When a student studies on a CCSU approved program, they maintain their financial aid and courses count as in-residence. As of summer 2013, grades earned abroad will appear on the student's transcript and factor in to their GPA. Partnership and Exchange Programs CCSU has over twenty partnerships and exchanges in 17 countries. Students participating in these program typically pay tuition and fees directly to CCSU and all financial aid will apply. ISEP Exchange Program- ISEP (International Student Exchange Program) is an additional option for you to consider when investigating study abroad programs. ISEP is a network of 300 colleges and universities in 42 countries cooperating to provide affordable access to international education for a diverse student population. CCSU students interested in ISEP programs will enroll through Southern Connecticut State University Study Abroad on Non-Sponsored Program- There are many other study abroad programs and providers and some students may wish to particpiate in a program not sponsered by CCSU.
