The present modern civil services of India is always followed the pattern of the Imperial Civil Service of the British India.

It was formed After Independence in 1947.

The Central Civil Services are concerned with the administration of the Union Government.

1. Short title and commencement

(1) These Rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and
Appeal) Rules, 1965.

(2) They shall come into force on the 1st December, 1965.
