I would like to know the judgement of the high court on the recruitment policy of Central bank of India via campus interviews?

Re: Campus Recruitment By Central Bank Of India

In a major stumbling block for Central Bank of India, the Bombay high court held that its recruitment policy, which allows campus recruitment/interview system for prior arrangement of officers against permanent vacancies on regular basis, was illegal and unconstitutional.

The HC engaged the bank to desist from making any arrangements against permanent vacancies on regular basis via campus recruitment\interview method, warning that if it did so, it would be not binding in law.

A division bench comprising Justices A M Khanvilkar and Mridula Bhatkar engaged the bank to abstain from making any prior arrangement against enduring vacancies on regular basis via campus recruitment\interview method, warning that if it did so, it would be not binding in law.

campus interview manner of prior arrangement in the past can be no basis to legitimize that procedure which inescapably tramples the elementary rights of otherwise qualified and suitable citizens to be considered for the public posts along with similarly placed persons,'' the court said.
