The Calicut University has various College of Teacher Education in Koottilangadi. The University of Calicut was started the B.Ed programme on sectional basis from the year 1982.

It is a full time programme on regular basis at its 11 Centres with optional subjects in Mathematics, Physical Science, Natural Science, Computer Science, Social Science, Commerce, Arabic, English, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam and Sanskrit.

The administrative and academic activities of the B.Ed Centres are under the supervision of the Chief Co-ordinator of Calicut University Teacher Education Centres.

Duration:
One year (2 Semester)

Mode of Selection:
Centralised allotment by the University on the basis of marks obtained by the qualifying examinations.

Fee Structure:
Tuition fee Rs.25,000/-
Admission Fee Rs.1000/-

Eligibility:

BA/B.Sc.Degree of the University of Calicut or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto under 10+2+3 pattern with minimum of 50% marks for
Part III. Candidates not having 50% marks in Part III of the degree course can also apply provided they posses 50% marks in the Post Graduate Degree.
