Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test is taken by ICAI for admitting the candidates to Chartered Accountancy course. It takes place twice in a year (June and December), at all the major cities throughout India. Eligibility Candidates should pass 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board. Paper Pattern It is an entry level test for CA Course, which is held twice a year in June and December for registered students of (CPC). CPT is an objective type test with negative marking. The test comprises of 200 marks and is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between. Subjects are to be studied in CPT as follows: SESSION – I ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks ) Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks ) Section B: Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks ) SESSION – II ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks) Section C: General Economics ( 50 marks ) Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks) Important Dates : Date of Notification released on 20th Jan, 2015 Last Date of Registration was 28th Apr, 2015 Date of CPT Exam: 14th Jun, 2015 Date of Declaration of Result: Around one month from the date of examination |
