Hi I want to know that what is the chemical name for the active ingredient in Bystolic and also let me know that is HCL also an ingredient in the formula???

Well the chemical name for the active ingredient in Bystolic (nebivolol) tablets is (1RS,1'RS)-1,1'-[(2RS,2'SR)-bis(6-fluoro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-2-yl)]- 2,2'-iminodiethanol hydrochloride.

This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as beta blockers.

Working Area

It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels.

This effect lowers heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

Formula Formation

Nebivolol is a racemate composed of d-Nebivolol and l-Nebivolol with the stereochemical designations of [SRRR]-nebivolol and [RSSS]-nebivolol, respectively.
