Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh was established in 1877 as Muhammadan Anglo Oriental College in Aligarh by Sir Syed.

As you want I am telling Aligarh Muslim University Buildings department was established in 1950 and since then it is engaged to maintain the buildings of Halls of Residences, Staff Residences, Laboratories, Faculties, Departments, Roads, Water Supply and Sewerage in the University Campus alongwith the new building projects sanctioned by the funding agencies from time to time under various Plan / Grants.
