Yes being 18 years old you are eligible to join BSF Army .

BSF Constable Examination organised by Staff Selection Commission every year.

The age limit is 17.5 to 23 years. There is no age relaxation of any kind for this exam.

The minimum qualification for BSF constable is matric pass from a recognized board of education.

For constable post your height should be minimum 169 cm. There is 5cm relaxation for North East and Pahari applicants

Chest must be at least 80 Cm with 5cm of expansion.

Selection Procedure:

-Written Examination

-Physical Fitness Test

-Medical Examination

The merit will be on the basis of marks in above stages into consideration.

If you want to join as Constable in BSF then you can apply for the examination when the notification are announced.

If you want to join BSF on higher posts like Sub Inspector then you have to complete Graduation and then apply for CAPF SI examination which is also organised by SSC.

Age -- Between 18 to 23 years (Cut off date for age will be 1st August every year)

Educational Qualification --- Matriculation or 10th class pass.

Eye Sight : The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

Sub-Inspector

Age --20 to 25 years

Educational Qualification-- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent

Assistant commandant:

Age ----19 to 25 yrs

Educational Qualification ----Degree from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent, ,possession of NCC B or C certificate, or outstanding achievements in sports or athletics will be an added qualification.

Assistant Commandant: (Technical)

Age ---Between 18 to 25 years.

Educational Qualification ---Applicants must have pass Matric with 3 year Diploma in Radio and TV technology / Electronics / Tele-Communications / Computer / Electrical / Mechanical / Engineering with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, having 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board.

Head Constable (Operator)

Age ---Between 18 to 23 years.

Educational Qualification --- Applicants must have pass Matric or equivalent plus two years ITI certificate in Radio and TV/ Electronics or 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board of Education.

Head Constable (Fitter)

Age -----Between 18 to 23 years.

Educational Qualification --- Applicants must have pass Matric or equivalent plus two years ITI certificate in engine/fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Automobile/Motor Mechanic or 10+2 or Intermediate or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board of Education.
