Brown University South Asian Students Association is the University's largest cultural group. The Brown SASA embraces South Asian and South Asian American culture and identity within the contexts of the Third World community, the university campus, and the greater global community. The aims to build a community that is shaped by the varied social, cultural, and political concerns of South Asians on campus and celebrate the diversity of South Asian culture while exploring the facets of a pluralistic identity. As a registered Category III organization with the Undergraduate Council of Students, they regularly work with other student and departmental groups at the University to plan new events that promote South Asian & South Asian American culture.
