Branch change while in B.Tech 1st year
 

I want to change the branch and now I am pursuing the B.Tech 1st year in Information Technology. So will you please tell me Is there any chance to change the branch while in B.Tech 1st year?

As you asked about that if you can change the branch as now you are pursuing the B.Tech 1st year in Information Technology.

Let me tell you if you completed the 1st year B.Tech with Information Technology (IT) branch and if you want to change the branch in the 2nd year then you can change the stream.

Many colleges give this facility after completing 1st year B.Tech if the candidates have minimum 8.5 or above CGPA in the 1st year of B.Tech course and there is no backlog in the first year.

If candidate has 8.5 or above CGPA in the 1st year of B.Tech course and there are no backlog in the 1st year then according to my knowledge that you are eligible to branch change. But for that you have to contact the dean or head of the department of your college.
