Re: BPP law school QLTT
The Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS) replaced the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) on 1 September 2010. This scheme offers a route to qualification as a solicitor of England and Wales to lawyers from a wider range of jurisdictions than under the QLTT arrangements. Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test Syllabus and Assessment Areas • Module I - Property (conveyancing and wills & probate) Assessment: Three hour written exam • Module II - Litigation (criminal or civil) Assessment: Three hour written exam • Module III - Professional Conduct & Accounts Assessment: Three hour written exam • Module IV - Principles of Common Law Assessment: 40 minute oral exam QLTT Entry Requirements Candidate has to pass the QLTT Certificate of Eligibility from the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Any applications after 31st August 2010 will be governed by the Qualified Lawyer Transfer Scheme (QLTS) which is still controlled by the SRA.
